Dear Subscribers,

When I joined Substack 2 weeks ago I knew next to nothing about it. Like many of you, I’m still exploring all the features and learning how to use them. Some of these features are new to Substack, like ‘Chat’, and Substack is listening to our feedback to make these new features more ‘user friendly’ over time.

About ‘Notes’: ‘Notes’ is another somewhat new feature. Notes functions a bit like ‘Tweets’ but instead of re-tweeting anyone with a Substack profile can ‘restack’. A restack on Substack is a way to reshare a post, note, or comment with subscribers in Notes. You can restack someone else's post with or without adding your own text. To restack, click the circle-arrow icon next to the post, note, or comment you want to share.
