TERMS OF SERVICE: The Scapegoat Solution™ FSA Digital Research Journal

The Original Source for Family Scapegoating Abuse (FSA) Education, Research, & Recovery |Version 3.0

Last Updated: March 10, 2026

Contractual Parties: These Terms of Use are a contract between you and Rebecca C. Mandeville, MA (“us,” “we,” “our”).

1: Scope of Educational Services & Clinical Disclaimer

1.1. Nature of Content. All materials provided via ‘The Scapegoat Solution™’, ‘The Inviolate Self Project™’, and the ‘Kintsugi Method™ framework’ (the “Services”) are for educational, research, and informational purposes only. The content represents the clinical research and academic findings of Rebecca C. Mandeville, MA.

1.2. No Patient-Provider Relationship. Your use of the Services does not create a therapist-patient or clinical-client relationship. These Services are not a substitute for professional mental health diagnosis, medical advice, or psychiatric treatment. Participation is elective and self-directed.

1.3. Crisis Intervention Exclusion. The Services are not a crisis intervention resource. We do not provide 24-hour support, emergency monitoring, or psychological stabilization. In the event of a mental health emergency or crisis (including thoughts of self-harm), you agree to immediately contact local emergency services or a licensed clinical provider.

1.4. Participant Eligibility and Stabilization. The Services are designed for individuals who are currently psychologically stabilized and possess the cognitive resources to engage in high-level systemic auditing. If you are experiencing acute psychological distress, disorganized thought processes (e.g., ‘word salad’, ‘gang-stalking ideation’), or symptoms requiring clinical containment, you acknowledge that these Services are outside your current scope of care.

1.5. Right to Restrict or Terminate Access. To preserve the molecular integrity and safety of the community Garrison, we reserve the unilateral right to terminate access or refund subscriptions without explanation for any individual whose communication or behavior indicates a need for acute clinical care beyond the educational scope of these Services, or whose conduct is deemed disruptive to the collective research environment.

2. Intellectual Property and Pioneer Status

2.1. Proprietary Research & Ownership: All materials, including the pioneering term Family Scapegoating Abuse (FSA) and its associated recovery frameworks, are the exclusive intellectual property of Rebecca C. Mandeville, MA. Rebecca C. Mandeville is recognized as the sole creator of these frameworks, and all rights have been assigned to her for protection and distribution.

2.2. Protection of Intellectual Property and Brand Integrity The Scapegoat Solution™ and all associated clinical frameworks are the exclusive intellectual property of Rebecca C. Mandeville, MA. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for intellectual property theft, unauthorized commercial reproduction, and professional defamation. Any unauthorized co-opting of this proprietary material, or defamatory actions directed toward the author or the brand, are immediately and automatically escalated to our legal counsel for structural enforcement and prosecution.

2.3. No Authorization: No third-party “FSA” therapy, counseling, coaching, recovery or certification courses, or groups have been authorized by Rebecca C. Mandeville, MA. Use of this terminology by unauthorized entities is a violation of proprietary rights. Engaging with unauthorized entities is done at the user’s own risk.

3. Subscription Model

3.1. Nature of Support: This is a subscription to Rebecca C. Mandeville, MA that supports ongoing primary research and the development of FSA recovery programs. It is not a contract for personalized support, clinical coaching, or guaranteed access to external platforms.

3.2. Annual Subscriptions: Annual subscriptions are non-refundable unless the refund request is made within 7 days of original purchase. Subscriptions will fulfill their current term and expire as scheduled. You may contact us to request a term extension at the current subscription rate.

3.3. Monthly Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions renew automatically and can be canceled at any time via your Substack settings. Monthly gifts are non-refundable.

3.4. Fraud Protection: Substack’s payment processor is Stripe. Subscribers who trigger Stripe’s ‘Radar’ fraud protection systems will have their subscriptions immediately cancelled and refunded. We do not respond to request to reinstate subscription.

3.5. Refund Policy & Processing Fees: Subscription fees are refundable provided the request is made within 7 days. Contact support@substack.com within 7 days of subscribing if you feel you are entitled to a refund.

3.6. Annual Subscription Error: If an annual subscription is selected in error, a refund may be requested but is not guaranteed. Approved refunds are subject to a 30% Administrative Processing Fee (the “Friction Tax”) to cover our transactional and administrative costs. Contact Rebecca for more information at fsaexpert@proton.me if you meant to subscribe monthly, not annually, within seven (7) days of subscribing.

3.7. Disputes: If you file a dispute for a charge and you lose the dispute, you are not entitled to a refund, but I will reinstate your paid subscription, if you like. In special circumstances, I may process the refund on your behalf, minus a non-negotiable 30% administrative fee plus Stripe’s nonrefundable ‘dispute’ fees, which can be as high as $50.00 or more. You must contact me directly at fsaexpert@proton.me within seven (7) days of subscribing if you feel you are entitled to a refund. Allow 72 hours for a response.

4. Community Boundaries and Access Termination

4.1. Zero Tolerance: Rebecca C. Mandeville maintains strict clinical and community boundaries. Harassment, “Splitting,” or triggering behavior toward this vulnerable survivor population will result in an immediate and permanent termination of access (Ban). We also do not allow ‘gang-stalking’ discussions. Our focus is on understanding and healing from Family Scapegoating Abuse (FSA). Read our Community Guidelines for more information.

4.2. Community Protection: To protect our members, completed profiles are required to participate in paid community features (you are free so use an alias).

4.3. Post-Termination Non-Interference: Upon termination of access, you are strictly prohibited from contacting other members or disparaging the Founder or our research. Any attempt to incite “churn,” initiate fraudulent financial disputes, or damage our reputation will be viewed as Tortious Interference and will be pursued legally.

5. Clinical Disclaimer

5.1. Not Medical Advice: This publication and all associated materials are for educational and research purposes only. Rebecca C. Mandeville does not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions. If you are in crisis, you must contact local emergency services immediately.
