Upcoming Paid Subscriber Features
New ‘Small Gains’ Feature
Within the next few days I’ll be initiating a new private Chat for paid subscribers called Small Gains. This is a paywall-protected Chat where you can share progress you’ve made in regard to your FSA healing and recovery. In this Chat, no ‘gain’ is too small to mention, and all gains deserve to be noticed and celebrated - Hope to see you there!
Writer Support Group Chat
Are you an FSA survivor working on your memoir or other autobiographical material? I’m currently researching the best way to offer a group for paid subscribers interested in a Writers Support group - I hope to have something put together by the end of the year. Stay tuned!
Journal Prompts for FSA Recovery
I’ve had a few people ask me to put together a list of journal prompts. I sent this list out yesterday. If you missed it, you can find it here.
Managing Your Paid Substack Subscription
I provide free public education on FSA, which you will also receive as a paid subscriber. You can manage / cancel your paid subscription via your Substack Account Settings. Or, if you prefer, you can manage / cancel your paid subscription directly on Stripe (Substack’s credit card processor) via your Stripe Customer Portal (be sure to log in with the email address used to secure your subscription - Also, Stripe does not refund annual subscriptions so please email me if you have any issues or concerns about your annual subscription or paid subscriber benefits so I can assist you).
Did you upgrade to ‘paid’ but aren’t able to access paid content? Versus contacting Substack, please email me at fsaeducation@proton.me so I can assist you in accessing your paid benefits.
Tagging Community Members in Chat
As our community grows, I continue to do my best to read all of your comments and chat replies, etc. However, it may be I miss a comment that you wanted me to see and/or respond to.
One way to ensure that I (or another subscriber) see(s) your comment in our private (paid subscriber) Chat area is to use the ‘tag’ feature. Simply click on the @ sign and then start typing the person’s name and then choose the correct name from the drop down menu that will appear - this will alert them to your comment. Here’s an example of me tagging myself:
.
On a related note, as our community grows, I ask for your kind understanding if you do not hear back from me as quickly as you might like. If something feels urgent, or if you’re having trouble accessing paid subscriber features, you can also send me a Direct Message here on Substack using the ‘Message’ feature available on my Substack profile.
Substack Privacy Settings
How to hide posts or notes that you liked on your Substack profile
Privacy is very important to most of our subscribers. When you create a Substack profile, by default, posts and comments that you like will appear on your profile. To ensure your post likes remain private, follow the instructions here. Note: This does NOT apply to ‘Chat’ likes, where all ‘likes’ remain private and do NOT appear in Profile likes.
Substack Reader for Your Browser
Substack offers a “clean, simple, and fast” web-based reader if you’re accessing my Site from a browser. Learn more about the Substack reader.
And while we’re on the subject: To access my full navigation menu from your BROWSER, sign into Substack, then use the search bar at the top right of your screen to navigate to ‘Family Scapegoating Abuse (FSA) Education’. My site menu will then show at the top of your screen.
A Detailed Guide Regarding Using the Substack Mobile App
It took me awhile to find this, but at last I can provide a detailed explanation of how to use the Substack Mobile App. From Substack. But first, here’s how you can see my full site navigation menu (which includes our Site Directory) from the Mobile App
To access my full navigation menu from the SUBSTACK MOBILE APP, click on the ‘Inbox’ to the right of the ‘Home’ icon at the bottom of your screen. Click into one of my posts. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the screen. Click on ‘View Publication’. Then click on the three vertical dots again and click ‘Manage Subscription’. Thank you for this, Rebecca. I'm interested in the Small Gains section and even more interested in the Writers' Support Group. I have a memoir "put together" so to speak and am planning my own Oregon Coast retreat to finish it within the next couple of months. Your work has helped me finalize how to end my book.
