FSA Education Sunday Digest
June 30, 2024: Confirmation Bias and family scapegoating; this week's FSA Recovery affirmation; signing into Substack; 'Ask the Community'; and a powerful post on grief from Julia Hubbel
I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new subscribers - we’re glad you’re here!
It’s been wonderful to see some familiar faces on this new FSA Education Substack site as my social media followers and past clients find their way here.
If you’re new to my site, do know that to protect the privacy of all subscribers, my free articles that can be picked up by search engines like Google have the comments turned off. Paid subscribers are able to engage with each other in paywall protected areas like topic-focused Group Chats and Discussion Threads.
If you’re a free subscriber who values privacy when sharing on sensitive topics, you might consider upgrading your subscription for a month to try out our paid community features.
My FSA-related content has always been - and will remain - education focused. I feel strongly that understanding what happened to us in our families on a systemic level is critical to recovering from the devastating impact of family scapegoating abuse (FSA). So many FSA adult survivors have no idea what they are struggling with or suffering from. I therefore always appreciate your sharing my articles on FSA with others who may benefit from joining my Substack as a free or paid subscriber.
Below are links to the content you may have missed that I released this past week (along with a post by Julia Hubbel):
FSA Recovery Affirmation - Week of 6.24.24 (Paid Subscriber Feature)
Issues Signing Into My Substack? Why you might see ‘Create an Account’ when you already have one - and the easy ‘fix’ (All Subscribers)

My latest FSA-focused article (All Subscribers): Understanding Confirmation Bias in Families That Scapegoat: How selective perception supports distorted realities and family scapegoating abuse (FSA)
Lastly, a YouTube subscriber asked me to make a playlist of my videos that focus on recovering from family scapegoating abuse - I did so this week and you can now access my FSA Recovery Playlist on YouTube.
