This Week's FSA Recovery Affirmation
Drifting along the current of organic unfolding and 'non-doing'...
For adult survivors of family scapegoating abuse (FSA), the journey of healing can at times feel overwhelming. Pressuring oneself to constantly work on ‘recovering’ can create a sense of exhaustion and self-doubt.
It’s essential to acknowledge that healing is not always a linear process, and there are moments when drifting can be just as valuable as taking action. Embracing the idea of simply floating, like a leaf on a gentle stream, allows for a natural respite, where reflection and renewal can occur without the burden of expectation.
In this space of stillness, we can reconnect with ourselves and our emotions, fostering a deeper understanding of our experiences. Recognizing that it’s okay to pause and let an inward current guide us can be liberating. By giving ourselves permission to drift, we cultivate compassion for our journey and affirm that we are enough just as we are.
