As survivors of family scapegoating abuse (FSA), we often carry the weight of guilt and shame for prioritizing our own needs versus focusing on the needs of others.

It’s therefore essential to recognize that setting boundaries is a vital aspect of self-care, self-love, and healing.

By acknowledging our worth and the necessity of protecting our psycho-emotional (and/or physical or spiritual) space from that which does not serve us, we empower ourselves to cultivate healthier relationships with others and ourselves.

The following affirmation serves as a reminder that we are deserving of respect and kindness and that establishing boundaries is a courageous and necessary step toward reclaiming our personal narrative and rebuilding our lives as survivors of FSA.
