Explore Our Community Features (Directory)
Welcome to the Explore Our Community Page
Scroll down to learn how to be notified of new content and access links leading you directly to our Community features (both free and paid).
Looking for information about a specific topic? Use the ‘search’ feature via entering your chosen topic into the magnifying glass icon located at the upper right of our Archive page. For example, enter ‘worksheet’ to find worksheets, or ‘siblings’ to find past conversations involving sibling FSA, or ‘boundaries’ to find articles on boundaries relating to FSA. A list of articles will then come up and you can then click directly onto the ones that interest you.
Welcome to a space where your journey is honored, your voice is heard, and your path to healing is supported by a community of compassionate peers. Together, we can navigate the complexities of recovery and celebrate the power of connection.
Recovering from family scapegoating abuse (FSA) is a courageous and often solitary journey, but it doesn’t have to be walked alone. Embracing active community participation and taking the leap to connect with other survivors can play a crucial role in your healing process. Engaging with a supportive community that understands FSA and its effects provides not just a sense of belonging, but also invaluable opportunities for shared experiences, mutual understanding, and collective empowerment.
Getting Notified of New Community Content
You can choose how you’d like to be notified of new content I put out by following the instructions below. Do be aware that the mobile app does not show you content creators’ entire navigation menu at this time (Substack is supposedly working to address this). Paid subscribers will therefore want to access my Substack via a browser to enjoy all of our community features (or bookmark this page for easy reference).
On a Browser:
1. Head over to your Substack account Settings page and scroll to the Notifications section.
2. Click on the toggle next to each option to disable / enable.
On the Substack Mobile App:
1. Tap your Substack profile picture and select Settings.
2. Tap Notifications and on this page, toggle off what you do not want to receive push notifications for.

List of Current FSA Education Community Offerings (Paid and Free)
PAID Community Offerings (click on the link to visit the featured page):
Joining a paid community for adult survivors of family scapegoating abuse offers more than just a place to share your story; it provides a dedicated, private, pay-walled protected area designed specifically for your needs, ensuring that community discussions covering sensitive topics are not picked up by search engines.
Investing in our community means gaining access to specialized resources provided by a clinical expert in family scapegoating abuse (who is also an FSA adult survivor), as well as peer support and access to a network of individuals who truly understand your journey.
By becoming part of this community as a paying member, you’re not only enhancing your recovery with tailored guidance and validation but also contributing to a supportive environment where everyone can thrive together. Your paid subscription also support my mission to bring global attention to FSA and its effects via my ongoing research and publication efforts.
Direct Messaging other (Paid) Community Members: Want to take a conversation on a public post off-line for privacy purposes? Just click on the community member’s name and you’ll see that you can message them direct by clicking on ‘Message’ in the rectangular box. Or you can search their user handle in the Chat section and message them direct this way as well.
In addition to the free community offerings listed below, Paid Subscribers also enjoy the following exclusive benefits:
Link: Chat Threads (with search feature): Chat threads are protected by a paywall, allowing for private community discussions on sensitive material, such as our Ask the Community chats and our Dream Exploration group chats. Your replies or comments are not accessible to search engines nor are they accessible anywhere else on Substack. To reply to a chat from a browser, hover over the message and then click on the curved black arrow to the right (click on the 3 horizontal dots next this arrow to see more options). On the Substack mobile app, touch the message with your pointer or long press with your finger and several options will display, including ‘Reply’. You can search for a specific topic in our Chat space by entering your search term in the magnifying glass icon to the left of the 3 horizontal dots at the top of the ‘Chat’ page.
Link: Ask the Community: A ‘Reddit’-like feature where community members can share their collective wisdom and help each other overcome the various hurdles and humps that are bound to rise up in their path as they journey away from abuse and dysfunction toward a a more hopeful present and a brighter future. Leave your question or describe an FSA-related situation you are needing support around for other paid subscribers to respond to; I’ll get it out to the community as soon as possible via a private, paywall-protected Chat thread visible only to paid subscriber Chat thread participants.
Link: Q & A With Rebecca: Leave me your questions about family scapegoating abuse and/or my book, 'Rejected, Shamed, and Blamed' - I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Dream Group: This is a new community weekly Chat Thread feature for paid subscribers. The first Dream Group group chat thread will be available on October 18. Learn more about our community Dream Exploration group.
